In other news, The Principle of Evil ebook has also been selected for the Kindle Autumn sale and is now 99p until 8th November – grab a bargain whilst you can and get acquainted or re-familiarise yourself with DCI Winters before book 3 is released.
For those who prefer the feel (and smell!) of a physical book, I’m pleased to announce that ‘Principle’ is going into print and will be out in paperback on 9th February 2017!
Knowing that book 2 will be coming out as a physical book is a fantastic feeling. ‘Principle’ will always have a special place in my heart because it has opened many doors for me on my publishing journey. To see it go into PB for the first time is a big deal for me.
You can pre-order it now from various retailers such as Amazon.
The paperback is out today and available to order online and hopefully out in the wild (shelfies greatly appreciated – if you see it, snap it, Tweet me it @tmewalsh).
Maybe audio books are more your thing? Narrated by the talented Julie Maisey, you can download For All Our Sins here for your listening pleasure, published by HarperAudio.
OK, so the paperback isn’t out until October, but LOOK!
They arrived in the publisher’s office yesterday and I can’t wait to get my grubby hands on my copies 😀
These pictures came at the perfect time yesterday. I’m now editing the first draft of book 3 (which will be having a new title – more on that soon!), before it goes off to my editor and the nagging doubts have crept in as my deadline looms.
If anyone ever thinks that the worries go away and that everything gets easier with the more books you write, you’re wrong! At least where I’m concerned anyway.
I’ll post more of an update when I can, but for now, I just had to share these pictures.
It makes all the early starts, late nights and days spent at the desk worth it all, just to see and hold a physical copy of your book – something you have poured your heart and soul into.
Last night I was lucky enough to attend the HarperCollins Summer Party at the gorgeous V&A Museum, in London.
It was an amazing event and whilst being nervous, I am so glad I went. I got to chat to other authors, agents, and the wider team at HC, as well as catch up with the editors from the Carina imprint.
Beforehand, the HQ team (HQ is the newly formed imprint that merged previous Harlequin imprints such as MIRA etc) held pre-party drinks at the Rembrandt Hotel, opposite the V&A. We got the chance to raise a glass to the new imprint before heading over to the huge party across the road.
To be honest, everything was a blur. The venue was packed, the alcohol was flowing and the canapés were to die for (especially the desserts!). I got to meet some fantastic authors, and the teams from across the whole of HarperCollins. Many I have only ‘spoken’ to via social media, so it was lovely to meet these people properly.
I saw authors I have long admired and found ‘new voices’ I have yet to read, but whose books I will be adding to my (ever-growing!) to-be-read pile.
It was a fantastic evening and experience that I hope I might be lucky enough to repeat.
Now that everything is ‘official’, I’m pleased to announce that I have signed another contract with Carina UK, (a digital first imprint of HarperCollins) for the next three books in the DCI Claire Winters series!
Book 3, Skin Deep, is shaping up nicely and is due to be released this autumn and I intend to start book 4, The Devil’s Letters, early August. Book 5 (currently untitled) will follow in the latter part of 2017/early 2018.
Skin Deep will be available for pre-order soon, but until then, The Principle of Evil is still at 99p until the end of May on Amazon UK in their Kindle Monthly Deal. Grab your copy and make a great saving! 😀
Just a quick post this morning to let you all know that The Principle of Evil is only 99p over on Amazon UK for a limited time only.
The book has just nudged into the top 100 chart this morning, so it would be great to see if it can climb higher!
I’m happy to announce that For All Our Sins will be out in paperback this October!
It’s available to pre-order here.
I hope this will mean the book will be available on book shelves in stores, as well as online, but I’m not sure yet.
Either way, I can’t wait to hold an actual physical copy of my book. I’m now counting down the months until then!
